CARDS FOR CHILDREN UNDER SEVEN YEARS
In connection with a change made in Decree № 66 of the Council of Ministers, a requirement is introduced for the presence of a transport document for free travel of young children in public transport, which provides the statutory insurance of passengers.
Children up to the age of seven have the right to use free public transport vehicles for an unlimited number of trips, which applies to intercity bus, trolleybus, tram transport throughout the country, including the metro in Sofia. Exceptions are only specialized and occasional transport, as well as those on additional city lines.
Travel cards for children up to 7 years of age in the city of Burgas will be issued by Burgasbus EOOD after October 8, 2012 at the Transport House and at the ticket offices of the South Bus Station and the West Bus Station, and from January 11, 2016. and at the Copper Mine Terminal.
For their issuance it is necessary to present a birth certificate of the child / or a copy / and an identity document of the parent / guardian /, certifying the age of the child and his / her permanent address.
From the beginning of February 2013, the requirement for a photo of the user was dropped. The card is already issued throughout the year with a validity period of one year from the date of issue, and when the child turns 7 during this period – until the date of age. Already issued cards are valid until their expiration date.
Cards for children up to 7 years old are not paid by the citizens.
