The history of the development of public transport in Burgas knows not only achievements, but also many difficulties and obstacles, the overcoming of which hardened the spirit of the employees in the company. And if today we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we do not forget that we are the heirs of the automobile agency “Strela” established in 1924 and the consumer automobile driving cooperative “Chernomorets”. Remembering them, we realize what a story we are facing. We understand that the 30-year journey of Burgasbus is only a small part of it. But let’s still say: an important, very important part.

Many citizens of Burgas nostalgically remember the time of the old veterans “Chavdar” and “Ikarus”, who faithfully served us for years. It was a time when we really didn’t know if we would be able to bus all the lines for the next day. The technique was old, it was small, it often didn’t last. But the people endured! That is why today we must tell them: Thank you! Thank you for your efforts and perseverance, for your hard work and ambition to make Burgasbus what it is today!

And today we are on the threshold of a new technological innovation – full electrification of the city fleet. Because progress spurs us on and we know that if we stop, we go back. And here we must take into account the invaluable help of the state and the big European family, the municipality and its leadership.

We realized a long time ago and we keep repeating it: life is a journey! And our desire and aspiration is to be an important, integral part of this journey. Residents and guests of Burgas can now load online their regular travel cards through the new mobile application for public transport – Transport Burgas / City Transport – Burgas /. This will facilitate consumers and reduce on-site visits to the company’s stores.

Through their smartphone, in addition to charging their card, users will be able to receive information about the movement of buses in real time, the exact time when the bus will be at the nearest stop, as well as to compile a route for travel by public transport. within the city. This is another step towards the digital transformation of the city through easier access for citizens to a variety of digital services.

To use the application for vehicle traffic information, stop arrival times and route planning, it is sufficient to install the application. Registration is not required.

However, to use the mobile card recharging application, pre-registration is required in the mobile application or in the Transport House.
